The Department of Labor announced that the proposed changes to the overtime threshold, also known as the salary basis test, will be posted to the federal register in May 2023. Employers have been patiently waiting for this guidance since April 2022. Still, this is only a proposal right now, so there's no telling what may happen once it goes through the necessary legal channels. Until then, we’ll cover the necessary need to know so you can plan for its potential impact.
